Rule 23: "Pronoun shifts" 대명사의 어긋남은 인칭 또는 수의 불일치를 의미합니다.
한 문장안에 1인칭은 1인칭으로, 2인칭은 2인칭으로 그리고 3인칭은 3인칭으로 일치되야 합니다.
흔히 하는 실수가 3인칭인 "one" 또는 "a person" 을 2인칭인 "you"로 받는 경우와,
3인칭 "he, she, one or a person"을 3인칭 복수인 'they"로 받는 경우입니다.

잘못된 문장: To know that a person can’t vote is to know that you don’t have a voice.
시민이 투표할 수 없다는 것은 자신의 목소리를 낼 수 없다는 것입니다.
Q38: To know that a person can’t vote is to know that ________ have a voice.
A38: To know that a person can't vote is to know that a person doesn't (one doesn't) have a voice.

잘못된 문장: One cannot really understand another country until they have studied its history and culture.
다른 나라의 역사와 문화를 공부하기 전에는 그들의 나라를 제대로 알 수 없습니다.
Q39: One cannot really understand another country until ________ studied its history and culture.
A39: One cannot really understand another country until one has studied its history and culture.
다시쓰는 문장 1: You cannot really understand another country unless you have studied its history and culture.
다시쓰는 문장 2: We cannot really understand another country unless we have studied its history and culture.
