Rule 27: 쉼표로 구분된 구나 절로 시작되는 문장은, 쉼표 바로 다음의 따라오는 단어를 수식합니다.

Incorrect: In addition to building organizational skills, the summer internship also helped me hone my team-building skills.
저는 여름 인턴십을 하는 동안 조직하는 기술을 쌓았을 뿐만 아니라 팀을 세우는 기술도 갈고 닦았습니다.
Q45: In addition to building organizational skills, ___________________________________________.
A45: In addition to building organizational skills, I also honed my team-building skills during the summer internship.

Incorrect: An incredibly complex mechanism, there are some 10 billion nerve cells in the brain.
잘못된 문장: 신기하리만치 복잡한 뇌 구조속에는 100억개 가량의 신경 세포들이 있습니다.
Q46: An incredibly complex mechanism, __________ has some 10 billion nerve cells.
A46: An incredibly complex mechanism, the brain has some 10 billion nerve cells.

Incorrect: Based on our observations, the project will succeed.
잘못된 문장: 우리의 관찰에 의하면, 그 프로젝트는 성공할 것입니다.
Q47: ________________________________________.
A47: On the basis of our observations, we believe the project will succeed.
프로젝트는 관찰에 의해서 되는 것이 아니고 사람에 의해서 되는 것이기 때문에 we believe 가 추가됐습니다.
그리고 보통 Baseed on 은 사람들에게 쓰이지 않기에 대신 on the baiss of 를 썼습니다.

우리가 일상 생활에서 자주 쓰는 문장은 아니지만 구조를 알아두면 언젠가는 '아하' 포인트가 있을 것입니다.
